History

After two decades of business skills training, ProEd course content has evolved into some of the most powerful intellectual property in the industry. Developed in partnership with some of the world’s top corporate training departments, including the Aetna Institute and the AT&T University of Sales Excellence, ProEd workshops and self-study programs are a compendium of best practices garnered from highly successful individuals and organizations.

Founded in 1981 by Russ Granger, ProEd specializes in sales, management, and personal productivity courses for high-profile corporations and fast-track small businesses alike. The company has remained small and highly-responsive; focused on the needs of its clients, the quality of its materials, and the success of its program participants.

For many years located in Lanidex Plaza in Parsippany, New Jersey, the ProEd offices are today located in Easton, Maryland — named the “the 8th Best Small Town in America” — so that Russ and his family can be closer to Pincer Point, their home on Irish Creek near the popular destination town of St. Michael’s.

Russell H. Granger
Russ is the founder of ProEd and the prime architect of the world renowned PRISMS program series, the largest selling and most widely used business skills courses in the insurance industry. In constant demand as a speaker and motivator for executives, managers and salespeople, Russ has brought his dynamic brand of training to companies throughout the United States and Europe, as well as to Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong.

He is the author of several books, including The 7 Triggers to YES, The Sales Compass: Your Guide to Sales Success, as well as numerous national trade articles on sales and management topics.

A former president of both the Insurance Manager’s Association of New Jersey and the NJ Insurance News Service, he is a recipient of the Insurance Man of the Year Award by the Insurance Managers Association. Russ held sales and executive management positions with the Kemper Financial Services Group, where he produced his first training program, an audio cassette series featuring golf pro Arnold Palmer.
